After completing the one-mile walk along the interior perimeter of the park, come back to the pavilion to enjoy live entertainment, the playground and other goodies. A portion of proceeds from the registration fee will be donated to the event.
A Buddy Walk corporate sponsor provides financial support for vital medical and developmental research, education and inclusion programs that will benefit all people with Down syndrome. By contributing to the Southern Maryland Buddy Walk, you will be helping the Down Syndrome Association of Southern Maryland to support families in the Southern Maryland region as well as national initiatives. Review our sponsorship packet for more information including how to become a sponsor.
Click on the Register button above to register online. All participants are required to accept the terms and conditions of the waiver before completing the registration form. You will create your personal page and/or team page URL in your Fundraising Portal after your registration is complete.
After you register, customize your personal fundraising page by editing text, uploading pictures and changing the colors of your page in your Fundraising Portal. You can make changes to your web page as many times as you’d like.
Once your personal fundraising page has been set up, you can send emails to your friends and family through your Fundraising Portal. The emails will provide a direct link to your personal page where your friends and family can make a donation on your behalf. We've even written some sample emails to help get you started!
If you are unable to be in Charlotte Hall for the Buddy Walk® on October 2, you can register as a virtual walker. Click here and join us in spirit. Or, you can simply make a charitable donation to help support the National Down Syndrome Society by clicking on the Donate To This Event button.
